Ok I've got an SX66 and have screwed up somewhere in my extended rom. I pulled all the files and loaded the ones I thought I needed. Instead of having to go through trying to figure out what file I missed I figured I would pick the knowledge of you all. I'm not able to play any .mid files, and I'm also not able to select mp3's as ringtones. I loaded the following EXEC:\Extended_ROM\RestartRadio.exe
CAB: \Extended_ROM\CingularSplash.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\Cingulcustomize.CAB
EXEC:\Extended_ROM\AddContacts.exe
CAB: \Extended_ROM\JAVA_WWE.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\MIDI561.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\AS_Cert_OFF.CAB
CAB: \Extended_ROM\ExtendedROMUnlocker.arm.CAB.
Any ideas what I need to do to get the mid's to play as well as possibly getting mp3's to be able to be used for ringtones?
TIA,
Andy

The SX66 cannot play mp3's as ringtones (It can however play WMA's, WAV's and MIDI's with the MIDI cab file installed).
I have looked through the cab files installed and the only one that seems to deal with the midi ringtones is the midi561.cab which you have installed. I will continue to look in case some file associations are added in another cab but I suggest you check to see if the midi cab file is installed correctly (Path and filename correct in the config.txt file) and you are using the add ring tone util to add your midi ringtone.

Ok thanks makes sense. I did leave the cingularcustomize.cab in place and let it run which copies their .mid file to the rings folder, but when I select it and try to run it it just beeps 3 or 4 times and quits. That's why I was asking about the mid files. Thanks for you help.

The blue angel itīs capable of mp3 as ringtones and midiīs too.
The onlye WEIRD thing that you have to do is.
For Midi files, install the album aplication along with Album_Reg.CAB plus Default_MIDI_RTPI_BA26_RC20.CAB and thatīs it for midis, and for mp3 just use the latest IA Caller ID PhotoContacts, i mean ver 2.
I hope that help.
