Upgrade Killed bluethooth stability

I installed the Qtek update 126

when I turn on bluethooth everything works fine.
when I put my phone in standby, the bluethooth light will remain on, but when turned on again. You will see the bluethooth indicator switch to off and then on again.

I need it to stay always on, How can I do this ? is this a registry setting.

(side effect, because of this, my headset will not function currectly)

First I would think that you mean Qtec Ext Rom 1.22.126

I have not seen the EXtrom 1.22.126 (might like to upload it).
I would think that its about the same as the 1.22.121 which has no BT patches.

I would sugest that you visit the kitchen on wiki and download the other patches based which you will find in the new base.

I'm sorry,
but for the record this is what i currently got

rom version: 1.22.00 WWE
radio version: 1.06.02
extrom version: 1.22.126 WWE

after the rom update
I installed the 2 BT patches

I even installed the new patch 1.500 (or was it 1.600)
anyway still same problem.

so what do you suggest ?

well u could start by telling us what the patches are as in the name of them

Did you check the kitchen? as in did u look at the new base to see if u r mising something.

And last were did u get the 160.600.cab from?

The way I understand the situation is before you moved to Qtec Ext Rom 1.22.126 you had no problems.

Based on the your T-Mobile signature I must presume that you upgraded from T-Mobile UK 1.06.117 WWE.

Looking at that rom I find:
Run_BTTrayCE_10.exe and Run_BTTrayCE_10.CAB.
Now as I cant take the Run_BTTrayCE_10.exe apart I have not added this to the kitchen.

Looking at what you have done so far this is what I can work out.

I would suggest the following.
Copy the need roms out of kitchen base onto your device
Edit the config.sys to reflect the changes
Lock and Hide the Ext Rom
Hard reset the device.
Check if it solves the probelm.

If this is not the case
Add Run_BTTrayCE_10.exe to the front of the list EXEC:\Extended_ROM\TPDisable.exe
EXEC:\Extended_ROM\Run_BTTrayCE_10.exe
Add Run_BTTrayCE_10.CAB as the first cab after applications
Add the rest of the cabs out of the kitchen as per above.
Hardreset your device.
Check if it solves the probelm.

Report your conclusions and we will take it form there.

but what do you want me to use as base extend rom. My current: QTEC_9090_Ext_ROM_122126_WWE

and what files do I need to remove from this current extended rom.

Hum

Would it be unfair to say that Exteneded Roms are like your privat parts.
You get to play with them and only a few get to see them,

My self I use the I-mate and the stuff I need out of the kitchen.

This is your call, the things you might like to keep were your customizing files.

Best thing is read wiki, work out what you think you need, flush your rom, and install the rest of the cabs by hand, this way you dont need to do a hard reset. Copy a config.txt over if you feel happy with what you have done.

I will cook that rom now and post the info in about an hour.
