headphones for XDA II

can you use normal headphones for the xda ii, or do you have to have special ones? because i want to use this as my mp3 player too =/.

if you mean the headphones used for regular cd-players then the answer would be no. the xda's headphone plug only allows the 2.5mm jacks to plug in; the same size the standard headsets it comes with when you buy a unit. other "normal" headsets use the 3.5mm jacks. although; you can buy a plug converter...do a search in the internet for the sites offering this item. the standard one has a 2.5mm plug connected to a 3.5mm jack. so when you want to use your cd-player's headphone, you have to plug in the converter and then plug in the headphone jack. i ordered one out of this site based in hong kong; aside from being a converter it also allows you to answer the phone using the built-in microphone (with volume control). can't remember the site where i bought it from though...
