Are you sure that there are many models of the Jabra BT800? BT800 is in itself a model of Jabra.. the rest are BT110, BT200, BT250 and BT500

Sure, but maybe it isnt "model", it's maybe "type" or something like that.
There're some types of BT800 is designed to use with Nokia phone, some types can use with Motorola phone, some with Treo...
Which model or type of BT800 is compatible with O2 XDA Mini?

Friend .. there is no such thing.. there is only one Jabra BT800 out there and it should be compatible with most phones. It would be marketing suicide to release individual BT headset models that would only work with one type of phone.

Is the Jabra BT800 compatible with the XDA II mini at all? Jabra's website is not updated and there are no compatibility searches for the mini. I found that most if not all Jabra headsets are not compatible with XDA II. Has anyone actually tried hooking Jabra BT800 with the mini?

The biggest operator in Sweden, Telia, currently has a drive where they include a Jabra BT800 when you buy a Qtek S100 with a subscription to one of their services. So I guess it should work. That doesn't necessarily mean that all of the functions of the 800 will work though.

got to try one myself just today and there was no problem pairing the bt800 with the XDA II mini, whatsoever. the loose fit on the ear was quite a concern for me though. other jabra models seem to fit much better.

Hi,
From my understanding, O2 mini doesn't support hands free profile, am I right? So how do you get all the features working?
I just upgraded my rom to Qtek 1.11.00 WWE. Does that solve bluetooth problem? I really want to get BT800, but still unsure about these features that might not work.
And also I read reviews from some users that BT800 sometimes take about 10sec to ring. Is that true?

Depend of wich kind of radio ROM you have installed.
I have the BT800 and it started to work well (with callerID) when i upgraded to radio 1.10 and now to radio 1.11.
So, if you have the QTEK 1.11 ROM with radio 1.11 you don't have to find problems with the BT800.
Someone else can confirm this??
About the 10sec lag when receiving calls, i manually push the answer button on the headphone when the phone wakeup to ring and till now the lag from pushing the button and receiving the call is around 1-2 seconds... I never tried to select auto answer on the phone (otherwise how you can decide to reject a call when you look the bt800 display?!?!).

Thank you dalamaria for fast reply. Yes, my radio rom is also 1.11. It's good to hear that all features work.
One more question, is it true that BT800 only rings after about 5 tones (~10 seconds)? I read this from some user review, he said he ended up miss many calls. Could you confirm this please? Thanks.

Well... till now i never lose calls because my bt800 started to ring too late, the time from phone wakup till the number on the display of bt800 is around 2 seconds, after this, normaly i look the number and then i answer. If you have already the headphone on the ear you will no lose time whatching the display! This about Magician.
I have also a blue angel and this one take more time to connect to bt800, maybe the reviews that you see was about BA and not magician??

The review I read about this delay is from users of many different phones, not Magician specifically. So I guess it depends on which phone you pair BT800 with. Thank you very much for your help. I am now ready to place my order. :D

To work well with magician and BT800 you need to put your phone numbers typed like following: +441707367123.
P.S. My BT800 have the firmware revision v0021.

hey guys,
When you plug BT800 to your computer using USB port, does Windows detect it as a new hardware? And so far, Jabra hasn't released any updates, right? My understanding is that version 21 was already installed from the factory.

I'm confused about that. How do you determine f/w rev?
I've been at the Jabra support pages on their website and I don't see anything that would suggest to f/w upgrades. Are you suggesting the f/w can be upgraded?
Also, Jabra now lists the Magician variants (for example, my IMate Jam) as INCOMPATIBLE with the BT800. Someone in another forum had informed me that this was because BT800 is v1.2 Bluetooth and Magician is only v1.1. However, I know the Imate website states in specs for Jam that it is v1.2
So, what's the deal... and who would be the party to correct whatever incompatibilities exist??? Imate, O2, Qtek, etc... in another ROM release???
The strange thing with my BT800 is that sometimes it shows caller ID... very, very rarely... but usually the screen is just blank or on occasion I get the jibberish. Even numbers that are in my contacts list and saved in international format don't show up.
Therefore, I can not figure out what I am doing differently from what the few of you that have no problems are doing.
Any suggestions?

Never mind... I figured that out now that I got my BT800 back. I have the same version of f/w.
