speaker problem

I seem to have the same problem as this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=11812&highlight=speaker

Just did a hard reset, and that didn't help. Any tips, comments and/or suggestions?

I will try with a little violence and some electronics cleaner later, but if that doesn't work I have to send it back for service...

OK, I have confirmed that this is a h/w issue. A hard reset and ROM update didn't change anything.

But using a straightened out paper clip and fiddling around with it (not too violently) in the headphone jack made the sound come back. Only to lose it the next time I connected/disconnected the plug...

I guess I will have to send it for repairs then...
