Hi!,

Can someone tell the best website to buy a Sd card ?
Should be 512 mb or greater, and have a good response in velocity
It's to be used in a Qtek S100/Magitian :)

Im' from Portugal, so shipment costs are relevant :)

Thanks in advance :)

Best Regards,

Miguel Cunha

You can have a look at this site:

http://www.tweakers.net/pricewatch/cat/48/top

It is a dutch pricewatch with many dutch shops, but also many internet shops.

I bought my high-speed 1GB SD card from Amazon.co.uk and it cost £63, which is equivalent to about €90. The brand is Bytestor and it works perfectly so far.

I'd recommend that you are very careful about buying on eBay...

I bought my first 1GB SD card from a person on eBay. The card he sent from the US was NOT the same as the card he was advertising on eBay. He claims it was the same but the speed rating was different. Customer service was non-existant and he didn't care that he sent me a different card brand. His card took 4 weeks to arrive.

This is why my second purchase was from Amazon. It was slightly more expensive but it was much quicker and I knew it was going to be correct.

Maybe I was unlucky with eBay but the very cheapest isn't always the best. :?
Good luck :)

 www.ecost.com
 www.tigerdirect.com

Last I checked the first had a 1 GB Card for $57.00 Dollars, that is after the $20.00 rebate had been applied.
They also had a few for $6x.xx and $7x.xx, so check it out.
Plus they all come with warranties and from a company you can trust...!

They also have a 2 GB SD Card for abou $175.00, for those that always want more!!!

Hope that helps ya all out... 8)

This is NOT the guy I had problems with. :) (My guy was called Sarafatl.)
However, the guy I used had a feedback rating of 99.7% from over 100,000 trades. I thought I'd be safe. Two weeks after I received my card he disappeared from eBay. User account closed.
Compared with trading with someone like Amazon, who have a reputation to protect, eBay may be slightly cheaper but not cheap enough to compensate for the worry of using someone completely unknown, IMHO.

I ordered from sarafatl because he was selling the specific brand of card that someone in these forums had recommended (Kingmax) but that wasn't the brand of card I received. He said he'd run out of stock. I have no idea whether the card he sent was as good as the (recommended) Kingmax.

Bought mine off ebay. Lexar 1 GB, paid $65 including shipping to Norway from the US.

Always had good experience shopping off ebay, as long as you stick to the power sellers you should be ok...

Just did a search for KingMax like you were recommended - found this site selling 1Gb versions for just £59.99 !!

http://www.mobymemory.com/HiSpeed_SD_Memory_Cards.asp

Thats only £5 quid more than I paid on Ebay and I wouldn't have to wait 2 weeks for delivery and be confident that it would definitely arrive !!

Damn It !!
