New ROM Dangaard : MA_DT_Belgian_FRA_10602_551_10500

I found a new ROM on Dangaard today, the file is 45MB and dated 8 March 2005


I decided to do as usually using the xda3nbftool.exe and a BAT file (same as before when I updated to ROM 157 )

But this time I get an error (see attached picture)

Did someone know how to fix that?
I'm going to upload the ROM, can someone try this (it's a French ROM, but I also Upload the ENG ROM) and let me know what is going on ?

Thank you. I have just flashed my XDA mini ROM to the Qtek version (English, not Dutch) - in 17 minutes.

ROM version: 1.06.00 WWE
ROM date: 01/06/05
Radio version: 1.05.00
Protocol version: 1337.39
ExtROM version: 1.06.550 WWE

The Qtek splash screen is nice.

The only difference from the other 1.06 ROMs is that the Extended ROM version number is now 1.06.550 WWE, but I do not see any newer versions of softwares in it.

Anyway, I have uploaded the ExtROM to the ftp for the reference of those who are interested.

tell me how you dit it ? you must have made some changes in the original ROM posted above?

Because this ROM is made for QTEK and not MDA.

Can you help and post or MP the BAT file I will need in order for me to also Flash mine?

The default Region Setting is Dutch (Belgium). I was a little bit taken back when I saw Dutch on the initial Today's screen. Of course, it can be easily switched to English.

I have also successfully flashed it on another ppc - i-mate JAM.

I have tested it and my personal conclusion is: it is NOT a new version.

Although the ExtROM version number appears to be higher, CallerID and SmartDial etc., are older than those of the Qtek 1.06.115 version.

I will keep it for a couple of days for further testing, and then I will switch back to the Swedish version, which I think is even better than the i-mate JAM 1.06 WWE.

P.S. I have tested all of the 1.06 ROMs available - Italian, Swedish, UK (i-mate), etc. Their differences are just a matter of softwares versions in the ExtROM.

The good news is that in all cases, I can easily restore my programs and data with Sprite Backup - no need to re-install everything one by one.

that's a good news, but you still don't tell me how you did it. With Dangaard the default region settings will allways be DUTCH. But as you say you can change it in your preferences (on REGIONAL SETTINGS)

I have an MDA T-MOBILE(German S100 or QTEK) If I go strait with this ROM I got a COUNTRY ID ERROR.

If I modified the Provider using the TXT you find above, and stick it to a file called whatever.bat allong with xda3nbftool.exe then try the update using this modified ROM, I get the error you see above (wrong Radio .....)

So I guess the txt file wich I made a BAT file with, contain wrong information, I gess it was made maybe for an other ROM.

I need someone to take a look at this ROM and help me to transform to
T-MOBILE provider

Not cool, caller ID did not show pictures anymore???

Now I have version 1.20 (build 18586) since rom upgrade, and something I did not see at first, is the pictures did not show when somone call ???

Special afected rings did not play also ??

Ok ... can ANYONE tell me whether a hacked ROM image (from WWE to GER) works with the Maupgradeut_NOID.exe???
I still have the problem that I can´t hack the ROM from WWE (=english) to GER (=german) and than flash my MDAc via the hacked maupdateut_NOID.exe.
In the version information overview I always got empty fields and the "next" button never updated the deviced in any case.

ANY IDEAS???
