I have looked for this on previous posts but i cannot find the answer...if someone can direct me great if not ........
I have had a power failure and my XDA2 died. I gave it the kiss of life and it came back. I then changed the unit id to its previous identity but the PC said this was already used so i had to pick a new id. How do i get all the info i had on a previous id to reinstall to the new id ?. This may be a basic question to all who understand the in's and out's of this unit but for me a mere user its baffling. I am sure someone has had this and written great tomes on how to overcome it but for the life of me i can't find it anywhere so PLEASE HELP !!!!! in simple terms please

Your info in the XDA2 will be lost after hard reset except the info you have saved in the Storage memory.
When you assign a new ID name for your XDA2 in ActiveSync, the Contact/calendar info may be swept out from your PC's outlook if you permit the XDA2 to overwrite the information in PC's outlook. Anyway, check outlook contact you will know about that.
To keep the same ID:
- In Async you have to delete the previous ID have been established.
- In XDA2, go to settings\system, select About\device ID, then you can change the name of your device as you want.
Hope it may help.
