Sliding Keyboard working loose

Anyone that has the xda2s, are you having problems with the slide down keyboard? Mine has gradually worked loose and seems very unstable. The top part of the device rocks side to side :cry: , and sometimes gets stuck when opening and makes nasty cruching noice :cry: ---- Its starting to worry me, anyone got any good tips?

Ok, since posting this i found a topic about opening the XDA2s up and fiddleing around to tighten it up. Does anyone know how easy this process is? Seems quite scary and am not sure whther i should attempt this....

It's only scary the first time. Once you're not a virgin anymore, you'll feel comfortable doing it over and over again. Just don't turn into a slut :D.

Some things to consider. Use the correct tools for the job. Once the screws get stripped, your SOL. Oh, don't be such in a hurry to take it apart once you get the screws out. Remember to take pics, or if you are good with memory, remember where everything was originally placed. Especially the screws. Had to slap myself a few times for not remembering the screw placement.

i just had my housing recently replaced coz i dropped and scratched it. the keyboard frame + the backside of the front face is considered under warranty. the repair center diagnosed its looseness as "faulty mechanical". :D

Execellent, in that case im sending mine back so they can fix it! Better than cocking things up my-self!
