There are devices that can convert the serial port of stand alone hardware (such as a modem) to Bluetooth (examples (http://www.google.com.gr/search?q=bluetooth+serial+adaptor)). You just need to plug this converter to the serial port of the external device. You can then pair Magician (or any PPC) with this Bluetooth converter and use Serial Port Profile to emulate the serial port communication. I have been successfully using this with an ISDN modem. I suppose any type of serial device that is supported by Pocket PC such as GPS receivers, modems, OBD diagnostic tools can also work this way.

What Brand are you referring?

I thought of using a conventional USB to RS-232 cable connection... does it work?

people, again,

Magician has no serial over USB profile, so you cannot use cable. Period.
You must use Bluetooth instead. There are several Bluetooth to serial adapters on the market, e.g. from Socket.
