i have a xda ii, and im in the united states with cingular service, lets say i unlocked my pda, what can it do thats so great? can it connect to other networks like t-mobile, verizon etc?

Yes it will be able to connect to all networks that use 900/1800/1900, I think some Cingular networks operate on 850mhz, the phone will NOT operate at that frequency.
