Just a quick question, have searched the forums and cant find an answer. I have been to the rom kitchen and created a rom for my device, but i noticed at the bottom there is a section with header and the string starts with PW10A1 when my phone is the PW10B1. Can I use this rom image with my phone or can I just change the header to match my phone?

If you download a rom file exe that runs from kitchen there is no need to modify header, you might need to enter bootloader after flashing and change band to 900/1900 as it may be set to 900/1800. To change band, do a soft reset while holding power button, then push button below antenna, choose from there.

Ok Thanks to those that replied. I have been reading about the different methods for upgrading. I will try using the ostools to upgrade the unit. I am not too sure about the .exe method as it upgrades the radio unit as well as the pda. And as the phone works really well at the moment I dont want to muck that up.

As far as I know none of the roms from lumpis kitchen upgrade the radio stack, however flashing using sd card method I always found to be preferable....except if you have a later bootloader that doesnt allow this unless bootloader is patched.
