Anyone know what makes the data transfer arrows appear when you're transferring data? I have a Harrier and cooked my own extended ROM. When I do a hard reset without installing anything in the ROM, and I connect via the cellular modem (CDMA), it connects fine but the data transfer arrows do no show up.

If I hard reset and allow the standard extended ROM to install, I do get the arrows.

I have cutomized my own ROM, but the arrows do not appear and I cannot find where this arrow icon is enabled. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks very much!

Dan

I found it... this may only be for CDMA phones (Harrier), but this registry entry enables a set of blue up/down arrows when data is dormant and black up/down arrows when data is active.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\PhoneExtendFunction \Notification]
"3GMsg"=dword:80000017

It is contained in the platformxxx.reg file inside customize.sa.cab. I had commented it out because I wasn't sure what it does, but after some trial and error tonight I figured it out.

Hope it might help someone else too.
