I guess the only difference with HTC Magician 1.11.00/1.11.129/1.11.00 ROM is the extended rom 1.11.160?

Well it has been about a week since I did a ROM upgrade on my phone so I got the itch to install this ;) Overall install went fine, I put the phone in bootloader mode and used MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe and everything installed fine.

Early testing is very promising. So far, I have been able to connect/disconnect from the GPRS connection and have not received the "unable to connect for unknown reason..." error. I have tried every way I know how. Holding down the end call button, calling my phone to force the disconnect and so far the error has just not shown up.

Also, I have turned BT on and off about 50 times and have not gotten the hardware not found error so that is also promising.

Lastly, I switched between all of the keyboard options in pocket Word trying to get it to lock up (an issue I have with the Finnish 1.11 rom) and so far it all seems to be working fine. I was even able to use SPB full screen keyboard with no issues.

The Extended ROM has some Norwegian customizations for carriers etc.. There were 5 programs that I uninstalled before I set up my S100.

So far everything seems to be working just fine. I will post here if I find anything funny.

I just went into add/remove programs and removed everything. I did this before I started setting anything up.

any idea what these do?:

my upload speed is a bit slow 64K

btw.. i feel the screen is a bit more responsive than the finnish version........

i just finished installing my programs... and i feel the device a bit faster as well...

i only installed the MMS client, SmartDailing and phonepad... cuz i also use another files from differnet ext rom.......

i will install the freedom.cab file and will let ya know

are Norwaian customiztion files.. it hsa an SMS application along with other functions like weather etc... i don't understand it cuz it's in Norwaian's language...


opennet is some dll files that are needed to run freedom
