new patch @ imate for error "no bluetooth hardware"

for those that might not visit elsewhere thought id let yas know about the new patch released 19/04/05 for the no bluetooth hardware problem on imate jam's available from Imate website.

Has 1.11 cleared up this problem?

I didn't think it had. But I've just been trying to replicate the problem before I installed the patch and I can't get it to break!

i have been using the 1.11 and never got the error... and the ext rom of the 1.11 inludes a similar patch if not the same one

I'm still using the 1.06 extended ROM as at the time I put 1.11 on, I'd only had the Jam a few days and it was the easiest way not to lose my Vodafone settings!

Yet I still can't make it happen to order like I could. Thought I had, but must have been in one of the jumps back to 1.06.

At least if it does happen I now know there is a patch!

i installed this patch and then the bluetooth icon disappeared in today screen (bottom right corner)... although it's working properly.

whats the diference between this and switch_it by Buzz?


i tried the BT update from Imate it worked ok for about 5 hours then after a soft reset it made my BT icon go grey( unactivated aswell) if i switched my Jam off then on the the icon would go blue but i would be back the initial problem of no hardware.

Yeah, I got the grey icon after the BT Patch also. I'm running "BT Tools" and "Switch It" so I uninstalled them, deleted my BT association with my laptop and reinstalled the Patch, BT Tools, Switch It and made a new association with my laptop. 2 soft resets later, it appears that everything is working properly. I think the best thing to do is just upgrade to the new 1.11 firmware. When imate came out with the camera patch, I never did get the same results as I did with the 1.06 firmware upgrade.
