Look Closely at the screen of the Black PDA2K

Or is just a Copy and Paste.

Likely a Photoshop job.

Interesting application, no setup program, no instructions. Just the EXE to drag and drop onto your PDA2k and make your own shortcut.

Don't kill the curious, but since I don't trust programs right away, I examined it, and it's interesting to find out the "unlock password" is hardcoded in plain text in the EXE file.

what do you mean by: and it's interesting to find out the "unlock password" is hardcoded in plain text in the EXE file.

I think he means that the serial number that unlocks teh full features of the software are easily obtained within the exe file; or in other words, this is not a well made program.

However, I see no reason why anyone would want to photoshop in WM2005 to those 3 different screenshots and then hide it behind giant tags. Seems real to me.

You're probably trying to be hopeful, and I don't blame you - I can't fathom why rumors say "no WM2K5" to one of the most powerful and recent Pocket PC Phones on the market.

But, if you look at the image, 1. a camera snapshot of the phone wouldn't produce that clean of a screen image, and 2. there is no thin black border around the screen image as we have on our Blue Angel devices (meaning it's not edge-to-edge graphics on our screens).

Do you know of any black Blue Angel device that made it into production? I've only seen silver (perhaps different shades and tints, but no black toned Blue Angel)?

The author's website www.jgui.net is full of examples of his work in photo editing, and that appears to be his focus rather than his website design or PocketPC work (previous JGUI programs used to crash all the time on my previous Pocket PCs).

And yes, the unlock code is plain as day in the middle of the EXE file. Open in Notepad or a hex editor, and you can't miss it.

Well, on closer inspection, BeyondtheTech, I actually have to agree.

There is indeed a black BlueAngel, the XDA O2 IIs. However, this device has O2 and XDA IIs clearly displayed on the top of the device, as do all the other BA devices to my knowledge. The one in that WM2005 picture does not, which means that it was likely edited out, so it wouldn't surprise me if the rest was editted too.

On close inspection of the actual screen itself, it does indeed look photoshoped.

vbguru613, what the hell is that device pictured in your link? Its definately a BlueAngel, but it seems to be labelled XDAIIi...odd...I guess O2 renamed things a few times in the process.
