This extented rom contains some new cabs like mms 2.0.0.21 and camera driver patch. It seems that this is a stable rom ans Iam not having any serious problem with it at the moment. The small problem with the brightness after using the camera remains.

Hi All.

My Device Data is the same as for the original Ship.exe
I upgraded my device with this ROM, however it failed to install the ext rom on the first run, second run it went ok but very slow.

I have uploaded the ext rom

If i Enable WIFI, use it a bit and turn it off, wait some time...perhaps 30 minutes. Then i have to turn it on and off and then on again before it will connect.

Edit your HTCRUU config file and add the line [CHECKCEID_TYPE]=1 save and re run your update.

I try to install it on my ORANGE SPV M2000 (GER) with O2-WWE-ROM on it. Doesn't work, always Country Error ! I already changed the RUU.conf ([CHECKCEID_TYPE]=1) - no chance.

Any other Idea ? Try it also with the XDA-Tools ... doesn't work to (Error with Password i think ..).

When i download the following tools, there is an Checksum-Error when i want to flash it:

Its a type II rom which means it does not work with old tools,

You need a type I converstion which was all covered in the 1st post.

This is just the ce rom, ext rom has been posted by bosjo, radio is on wiki

Upgrade went smooth on the iMate PDA2K.

I did not chose the 1.12.00 ROM, coz that thing EATS battery power for a living I think.

So I made a folder containing:

- nk_.nbf (version 1.40.00)
- radio_.nbf (version 1.10.00)
- folder with Ext Rom stuff

Now...you need to make sure the nk_.nbf is OK for your device, so you have to use the xda3nbftool...and edit the EditFix.bat as explained in wiki. Make sure you use the already "converted ROM" as posted in the first post, thanks to MDAIIIUser.

TIP: Run the tool from dos command window.

Installing the Ext ROM as is covered in wiki...works well.

The problem has got to be somewhere in your Extended ROM...what CABs did you put in.

I just installed 1.40 as well, radio 1.10 and cooked Ext ROM, and have been testing it seriously...no problems here...my PDA is lighting fast...I like! :)

I installed the above mentioned ROM yesterdag on my Qtek 9090 (Dutch KPN WWE DANGA01).
After installing, my camera stopped working and when starting the camera, a "camera failed to initialize" error appears. I tried some camera patches, however with no success. Even the patch in the Extended ROM doesnt work.

Furthermore, when trying to configure the MMS Settings, the Qtek stops responding at all and only a hard reset solves this problem....

Has anyone experienced this problem also?

Could you please explain to me, why you didn't take original radio rom 1.12 and used 1.00 instead. Also - what is cooked 1.40 extended Rom.
I used all files from original ROM. By the way - problem with lockups resolved - was from Wisbar. So, what files are best to use in this ROM. Thanks for the help to novice :lol:

I suggest not to use Pocket Plus 2.5. As it cause problem in WIFI and Bluetooth in all versions of ROM from 1.31 to 1.40.

I am on Radio 1.10. I have not tested 1.12.
As a task manager try Pockect Nav. Don't use Magic Button, it also cause problems in all version of ROMs.

TIP: To enable Pocket NAV start automatically after device reset use MemMaid and add shortcut in StartUP Programs.

I have tried numerious task manager but all don't work correctly with Phone edition devices. Pocket Nav does so far, still testing.

Magic Button occasionally hangs the device. The top most bar (where signal strength is disaplayed) stops functioning. No matter where you click on OK or on Start Menu Icon it will not respond. All other buttons and device continues to function. This behaviour is not as frequent, but I have notice this on my friends PD2K who is still on 1.31 ROM.

I have also notice uncompatibility with Voice Command. But above hangs where noticed when I was not using Voice Command.

bosjo, i had the same problem as you re GPRS. I was trying things out yesterday and found going back to caller id version 1.20 build 17957 appears to have fixed the problem. I can now reconnect to GPRS at will. Wifi also seemed to work ok when i tested it at home yesterday. Dont know why it made a difference. So far today i have not reset my xds iis and have bluetooth on and connected to my email several times. My only remaining problem is with coming out of flight mode, it sometimes needs a soft reset. At the moment all eppears to be running ok

Well I dont know anything anymore............ I have been testing different scenarios today on a clean install.
Can't put my finger on what excatly causes this problem.
After restoring my device from SpriteBackup, the problem where suddently gone, but now they are back.
People on other forums have uninstalled other programs that solved it, but I'm guessing that it will come back to them.
So far as I se it, If you want fail safe WM you can't install any programs.
Looking forward to WM2005

It does seem to be difficult to pinpoint what exactly causes some issues. What works for some doesnt work for others. At the moment I have installed only a few programs I am keeping a close eye on how my phone performs in case anything else comes up. As for WM2005, im not holding out too much hope. Apart from the stability issues to be addressed there are also functional items as well, like html email, automatic downloading of email from more than one account and others. Lets hope Microsoft will really work on solving such issues and not just give us a cosmetic make-over. Fingers crossed

Agree, 1.40 is great. But I have to disagree with you; Magic Button works flawlessly on my Imate PDA2K

Do not restore from Sprite or any other back-up prog after a rom upgrade! You will copy back files that do not work and play well with others. I use the permanent save function and only save my contacts and connection settings. I re-install all of my programs after that.
I downgraded the album and the cv file, and removed the Arcsoft cab completely. This solved all of my issues,and I have not had even one lock-up or had to do even 1 reset since I did that.WiFi is good,b/t is good,and my phone sounds clear on the other end.
I'm a happy boy........for now!

UPDATE: It locked up on me friday again and required a hard reset. I don't know what caused it,but I am looking. All seems fine again now. I may switch back to the 1.33.510 Mamaich that I was running until something better comes along.
Then again, I may not......LOL

OKe I did that and it looks that it worked. I used BA_DT_WWE_DutchRetail_14000_553_11200_Ship.zip gebruikt and MaUpgradeUt_noID.zip.

I know in WIKI it is described that there are some bluetooth problems with

ROM1.4. But Asim_ag meant that this problem is caused by SPB Pocket PLus.

My question is where is this probleme really rooted?


I use Pocket PLUS 2.5 and I can recieve datas by bluetooth but I just can

send small files, bigger ones with over 1MB always auses my device to hang
