I have both wififofum and hitchhiker installed. both work very well. Can't wait till the final version of hitchhiker is released. Now all i'm missing is hot spots in this city other than my home. :(.

I was trying for a couple of months to get my wifi working.
I installed HitchHiker and within 3 minutes I was online!!!

tried both wififofum2 and hitch hiker......
CONCLUSION
hitchhiker is a pig for taking over your wireless therefore probs making the range decrease due to this estimate
and is based on "hey i found a wireless!! choose which 1 u want and ill try to connect to it!"
Wififofum2 just detects networks and notifies u but doesnt take over the original wireless app

Isn't that what it's supposed to do?? It's meant to automatically connect to any access point it can find so that you are always online.
Unfortunately it doesn't work in WM5 or WM6, but they're thinking of making a new version that will: http://www.kasuei.com/Hitchhiker.ashx
There's also WiHappy which will do similar thing, but only in alpha: http://www.aspecto-software.com/rw/applications/wihappy/index.html
