restore from an activeSync backup......

Hi, I can restore everything except the files related to contacts...

Does anyone have ou had the same problem?

You are having some trouble, because some program is using the contacts database (this seams to be the most reasonable explanation). The sad thing is that there is a tool called STGViewer, but it does not allow extracting Pegasus databases...
Try to hard reset the PPC and restore straight after that, if this is the case, sorry, can't help :(
