Hi all.
First of all, my respect to all of you, who are working on the possibility to upgrade our Himalaya device and do share your knowledge with us.
Well, last week I upgraded my Himalaya to the Diamond Version (as by topic "WM2003se ENG DIAMOND 1.2(For Dutch and others! And Newbie's)" and everything went perfect, smooth and well.
No problems at all.
Now, Sunday I wanted to try the WM2005 OS as by the instructions of xda2jojo. Upgrade went well, everything seemed to be OK. No problems at all.
After the final "Congratulations" screen, I made the required cold boot.
The device startet, showing in the bottom the new OS Version and that's it. No change to the next screen, no Welcome screen. Freezed.
But strange enough, the Bluetooth LED started blinking.
I've tried 3 times this upgrade, no change. Each one as the one before.
Then I made the Diamond "downgrade". Like expected, worked like a charm.
I restored my previously backup (Sprite - the state-of-the-art Backup program) and now my device is working as well as before.
Now: has anyone had the same difficulties as described ?
Any idea what could be the reason, that the upgrade failed ?
I'm very keen to try the new WM2005 so any suggestions or hints are highly appreciated.
Kind regards
Chuck
