Hello people!

I would like to know which task manager do you use (if any) under Windows Mobile 5.0?

I have installed PocketPlus 2.5 but the application closer does not work so I ended up installing Magic Button, and works fine, except that it skins the new cool looking WM5.0 "X" button.

Pocket Banana works but looks too Pocket PC 2002... :(

The same goes to PocketNav...

Any recomendations?

Thanks,
Rayan

Thanks Rudegar, but I was talking about the so called Task managers to close running aplications with the X button, like PocketPlus, WisBar, Magic Button, etc so they don't just minimize and consume resources.

On WM2003SE I was using PocketPlus 2.5 but it does not work entirely on WM5.0...

I know that PHM Task Manager can do just that, but not from the X button on the top right of the screen...

Thanks anyway!

Rayan,

I'm using Battery Pack 2004 (Omega One).

It installs with two Today plugin programs: Program Bar & Battery Bar. Program Bar is a scrolling launcher (programmbale/selectable). Battery Bar is for battery & Memory level status.

I only use the Program Bar since that's where the Task Manager links & besides, the Battery Bar eats up lots of cpu resources (refresh of batt & mem status).

It also skins the "X" button but does it well. It degrades system performance a bit due to graphics but it's tolerable in my case.

Cool rhmartin,

I'll give it a try...

Thanks!

Hi Rayan,

Here's a snapshot of the integrated task manager & launcher in Batt. Pack.

Cheers!

Battery Pack is nice, but I would love to see something like Pocket Plus in that it does not skin anything... I love the new "X" and "OK" buttons on WM5.0...

Thanks anyways!

I use Dinar Handy Switcher 2.1.

Skins nothing.

Can be parked where ever you want it on the top bar (or just dropped in down below).

Uses the WM5 Icons (see image).

And the "Tap & Hold to Close" works well.

BTW, the "DialerSkin Manager" is something I'm working on....
