Microphone carkit not working

Does anybody have any idea how to debug this 'feature':
when my QTEK is mounted in the official carkit, the microphone is not working. I can hear everything but the other party cannot hear me. I have tried the same carkit with another QTEK, no problem. Could this be due to my upgrading to 2003SE (2.06) or might there be another cause.

Hi Eddy,

I assume your mic worked before. I was in the same situation with my XDAII and the genuine car kit. My problem turned out to be the microphone cable was crimped so bad by the car A-Pillar lining that it must have shorted out the two conductors of the mic cable (my mic is positioned under the roof lining near the rear vision mirror). I only discovered this after I had ripped out my genuine kit and replaced it with a BT kit which I bench-tested. Being lazy, I had tried to use the mic of the original kit. Process of elimination proved that the mic cable was shorted. This could be your problem. For your sake, I hope it is.

Have you had any look resolving your mic problem yet? I've got the same problem. I had the O2 XDAII car kit fitted running my XDAII with 2003SE. About 4 weeks ago the mic stopped working on my car kit. I tried a different mic but that didn't cure it. Because I don't know anyone with an XDAII (or similar) I eventually replaced the car kit because I thought that this must be the problem. I fitted the new kit today and guess what - NO MIC!! - AAAAARRGGHHHHH!! I've since installed the original O2 ROM version and returned the device to its original software condition but this hasn't worked. I'm now stuck. :!:

If you had any luck curing the problem, could you let me know, please?

I'm having the same issue here. Brand new carkit... I have send the junction box back to the supplier.... Hope it's resolved when receiving the new junction box...

Anyone other solutions. Is it a bug?
