All,

I recently got a T-Mobile UK MDA Compact and when I attempt to make a phone call the audio in the ear piece is very poor and plus the other person seems to here a echo or if they speak loud to me the ear piece seems to distort. Also with the sim card in or out when I switch the phone on and place it over my ear I can some electrical interference coming from the ear piece.

I spoke with T-Mobile who said they are not aware of this problem but they have now sent me 4 replacements all with the same problems.

I used to have a old Siemens S55 and the audio conversation on that is 10 times better, the voice of the other person is clear and just like talking face to face with them.

The MDA compact is extremely poor for audio conservations using the handset but when I use it with my Sony HBH600 bluetooth headset the audio is much better, has anyone else experienced this problem or is it just my bad luck :-(

Thanks
Msuk

I have the exact same symptoms in my Jam. The audio quality is awful. I think a lot of Jam owners are in denial about this.

YOu should still have a return period open. If the quality is that unbearable, return it and get a different phone. I sure wish I had done so, instead of thinking that I could solve it with firmware updates.

My audio was poor before firmware updates also.
