8) OK to start out. i called t-moble to get the unlock code and thay gave it to me with no problem,(VIA EMAIL) the code did not work. the IMEI number i gave them does not match the one in the unit. (*#06# or start, setings, system, device information, identity) to get the IMEI number. so i gave them the number in the unit, and that number comes back not valid. OK fine, so i go and download the up grade tool and do what it says to do. the unit LOOKS wonderfull. :P its unlocked, but now i have no signal. so now i think, u know what. this has happend b4. i had a MOTOROLA V180 I UNLOCKED from T-MOBLE and it did not work at home, but in the city it worked fine. the city is 80 miles from my house. could this be the problem. my cellphone company is, cellular one. the wallaby is from T-MOBLE. My IMEI number. the first nine numbers match on the lable and in unit, the last five numbers are (00009) or (00001).
PS: Im on my way to the city today. ill let u know if it works...

I dont think it will work, have you asked them if the actual imei you got from the phone is blocked? What happens when you attempt to make a call, what happens if you call the phone from another phone?

ok people this is what happened :D, when i got into the city it connected on at&t system, sometimes it would connect to other systems but it did work. It was roming while i was in the city and it worked fine, but sometimes i dialed out and it didn't connect but it had a full signal. Now, i called celluar one and they told me that their system or frequency's were on 850mhz and that is why i am having a problem. how can i make this unit recieve on 850 or the 800mhz band that it needs to be recieving when im in my home area

I am afraid you cannot, I am amazed that it works at all on that frequency but it would explain it if in the city you are in very close proximity to a main repeater that is working on your phone through rf breakthrough rather than the correct frequency.
