What Happened to AS4.0?

For some reason I can no longer find any reference to AS4.0 on the Microsoft Windows Mobile Downloads site. It also seems to have disappeared from the XDA-developers page. Are Microsoft "recalling" it?

it was never officialy released
it was only a preview version
