Activesync doesn't connect while using a VPN

I don't know if is was already this way before (think not), but now with WM2k5, Activesync uses a network connection (either for USB or BT).

As consequence, Activesnc doesn't connect while using my company VPN connection.
It was working before with WM2003.

Any ideas?
