My sim does not start

Hey my sim card is just not starting the xda 2s is gone on flight mode automatically it was working at night but now its on flight mode it does ask me if i wanna switch on the phone but when i click yes it still is not starting my simcard

what should i do ?

i work for o2 and i hear this a lot, first take the sim out, wipe with a dry dirt free cloth, i know it sounds silly, but it does work sometimes, blow the part where sime goes, for any excess dust that might be there. also failing that try ur sim in another handset. if this still has problems in another handset, its a faulty sim and call cust services on 08009777337 and ask for a new sim.
