Remote TV

Hello,

I downloaded some program's to use my telephone (Qtek 2020 and Qtek S100) for remote control.
But my tv doesn't response on my commands.
Someone know a tweak or a other program ?

i am sorry but this has been discussed numerous time. the ir port on the xda are not of industry standard therfore dont have enough range or power behinde them to use as a remote! sorry! :(

It work on my magician. After all not at an high range. Far from 1,5 meter it don't work.

It works... The only program that works, and I tested about 3-4 is NoviiRemote. Works grat on my MDA Compact.

I tried Novi Remote and it would have been great if the IR port on my M500 wasn't so feeble. :cry:

I'm using TV Remote Controller 5.5 from PdaWin (http://www.pdawin.com/tvremote.html) on my Magician.
Works but not from a far distance.

XDAII/QTek 2020 does not have a IR signal that can be used for TV Remote software.
Magician IR signal can be used but not from a far distance.

I use the same as Panja, but I think the distance also is dictated by the device you're trying to control. I can control my home theatre PC, DVD player, VCR and digital TV tuner from my couch (about 4-5 metres away) but I have to stand up and take a step forward to be able to control the TV itself. That being said, I played a trick on my ex's parents a few months back and learned their remote without them knowing. While they were watching TV I was randomly flicking channels on them! Had them confused for ages! And that was from right across their room going to their digital TV tuner (easily over 5 metres). Given at that range it wasn't reliable. I had to hit the buttons a few times to get any effect.
