Hi
Thanks for reading this. I'e got an XDAII (Rom 1.72.00WWE). I've also got TomTom Navigator 2.00 (323) and a Leadtek 9531 (http://www.pocketgps.co.uk/leadtek9531.php) but I can't get the Leadtek to work. I've spent days trying. I'm guessing it should use COM1, but whenever I select it in the list the XDA says "Cannot open COM1: Port does not exist". It's driving me mad and I'm going to jump on the thing in a minute. My GPS settings menu says it's V2.0 265/330. I'm not even sure which unit to tell the XDA to use (I reckon it's a NMEA one).
Please help me before I lose my mind. You'll make an old man very happy!

Thanks.

Hi all.

I've sorted it - thanks to this forum. Once I'd posted I decided to try a search on COM ports (rather than GPS) and found the answer!! All I had to do was to switch off the Start/Settings/Connections/Beam/Receive all incoming beams. It's as easy and stupid as that!!
Thanks very much to the forum - just for being here!!
Cheers.
Andy.
