Hi,
I have wrote this wiki document (http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=InternetOverBluetoothNetwork) and I wish someone gets his device connected to the "rest of the world" ;) over a bluetooth connection.
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=InternetOverBluetoothNetwork
FYI.. ;)
PS: Nice fiddling around.. ;)

Hi Subzero5
Great post , almost what I need .
I have the XDA11i and want to access the net via a blue tooth modem , which I plug directly into the wall socket . So far i have hit a big blank .
Any thoughts , can get the two devices linked but no further , cant get the XDA11i to tell the modem to dial ?

Hi from a newbie. I've just bought the TyTn11 and would like to use bluetooth to access my laptop's internet connection. Part 1 of your instructions were easy enough to follow but part 2 confused the hell out of me - not least because I don't have a Network Cards icon from Start > Settings > Conections >. The TyTn is running WM6 if that's any help. Any pointers would be greatfully accepted

Start > Settings > Conections > connections > adcanced > select network
pick the item in the dropdownbox which is not called something like my isp or such

Hi,
I'm trying to get Internet over bluetooth working on my TyTN with WM6.
I've got bluetooth network access point configured on my Linux PC so part 1 is done.
In part 2 I've successfuly configured IP and DNS for Bluetooth PAN driver but I can't find the option "Join a personal network" in my bluetooth settings.
Actually I'm stuck in part 2 point 6 as there is no <u>Bluetooth Manager</u> link under bluetooth settings.
Any advice?

not works... for me :S
also i noticed that in "network connectins" appearing 'Local Area Connection 2'. i know i know it is my connected prophet.
so when i "allowing to use internet through my computer" on "Local Area Connection" , disappears connection with my prophet ! and when i do it on LOC2 disappears internet :S .
also tryed something like Rudegar said but there is :
"select a modem" (cellular line, cellular line(gprs) , generic IrDA , hayes compatible on com1 ) , tryed with com1 but it asks user / password / domain ...
i just dont know what to do, help...

SubZero,
I not sure if you're instructions are correct.
From you wiki page-
Part 2: Setting Up Your HTC:
1. Go to Start > Settings > Conections > Network Cards. This option doesn't exist!
2. Tap the adapter named Bletooth PAN User Driver. You will now see IP Address tab selected in the Settings.
3. Select Use server-assigned IP Address.
Could someone who has done it on thier HTC diamond please check this?
Thank You

for diamond you have to go settings/connections/Wi-fi/Network Cards tab
but after that the problem is part2 6/7.... there is no link named Bluetooth Manager....
