Hi all, fantastic work especially to Paul!

I was wondering if the use of both the VCABT and A2DP will send audio through to the bluetooth headset when using M$ VC?

I know currently VCABT is not able to do this but combined with the A2DP patch????

Either way keep the fantastic work going and i lok forward to your break through!

First, thanks to all you programmers who come up with this great stuff.

I have purchased astereo headset to get this to work better

This cab installed fine, as did voice command, but now no audio works on the device for WMA/WMV files and I get a connection failed everytime I start a file - I think this has to do with the headset (Jabra BT250v), and/or that I have not deleted the following

How do I go about deleting:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\De vice\**YOUR BLUETOOTH DEVICE ADDRESS**\Services

I am a beginner - step by step please. ANy other tips are appreciated.

Also:

Look at the following sample code to understand how the network component
interacts with the AG component. This sample code uses TAPI.

public\common\oak\drivers\blue*tooth\sample\ag\net work

The AG does not use the btscosnd driver by default. It expects that your
platform will have hardware audio routing enabled to the BT chip. The AG
sends the wave message WODM_BT_SCO_AUDIO_CONTROL to the default audio
driver and expects it to enable/disable SCO audio in hardware.

That said, if you set the following registry in the AG (with btscosnd as
your default audio driver) it should work. Btscosnd will receive the wave
message and handle audio in software. Keep in mind the btscosnd driver is
a sample and might need some work to get to production quality.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\M*icrosoft\Bluetooth\A udioGatewa*y]
"MapAudioToPcmMode"=dword:0
(setting this registry makes the AG defer SCO connect/disconnect to the
audio driver)

For Windows CE 4.2, the only way to implement headset audio gateway is to
route the PCM audio data in hardware. In other words, audio will go
through the regular audio driver in your system but will be routed to the
Bluetooth chip instead of being played out the speakers.

Hi you wrote this long time ago!!! I took registry & add it ([HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\M*icrosoft\Bluetooth\A udioGatewa*y]
"MapAudioToPcmMode"=dword:0 ) before i has practice with this (http://www.pdaphonehome.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=54951&perpage=20&pagenumber=1) try it if you didn`t yet, i730 has the same MS stack with ours magicians, so when i create new reg ("MapAudioToPcmMode"=dword:0) no sounds on my handsfree(was beep) then i change it to dword:1 & can hear a little beep again. That files are good example for experiments!!!

Hi all,

FYI, voice command activation will work directly with Voice Command 1.6.

I have read through the countless pages of threads regarding this subject....

After the registry edit, I no longer had the confusion between the original voice dialer and VC. But I still had no VC avtivated by the connect button on my H700 headset (I can press the device program button for VC and hear it in the BT headset, command it as well as hear the Media Player stream).

I found that by enabling HKLM-Software-OEM-voicecommand-LaunchAPEnable (set to 1) the program launched finally. All VC services work at this point.

However, I cannot close the connection or activate another vc command with the BT headset until I place and end a call with either the phone or the BT headset button. The phone dialer will close the BT connection and allow another VC session to occur with the BT headset. Unfortunately, If you you use VC to launch media or anything other than a call, you cannot use VC again until the dialer closes the BT connection and resets the voicecommandenable flag back to 0 (in the registry).

It seems I am so close to getting it all to work.....if the BT headset would simply shut off the BT connection regardless of the device mode (media, phone, etc.) and reset the voicecommandenable flag back to 0 - I would be home.

Any thoughts.....I am way out of my league????

erm, i did the same yesterday. on my magician, the voice commander.exe is not in /windows but in the root directory and it works fine, except that you have to use system mic/speaker for the voice command. is there anything new about this?

Sorry if this is a repeat question, but I have been searching all day and *another* thread with 27 pages is just too much.....

I have a VPAc and a BT Headset Motorola H500. What I would LIKE to have is the ability to control the VPAc via the H500 - that is, activate the BT connection with a headset tap and then speak the commands, whether to start a program or dial a number. Whether MS Voice Command or VITO or another similar program is secondary - just as long as the voice control works....

In another 75 page thread there seems to be a fix which allows this, but I'm not 100% sure if my system is compatible with the ones listed.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks....

I used the extension: http://www.jetwaremobile.com/index.htm , on my i-mate JAM, now I can activate voice command 1.5 but still the voice is not in my bluetooth. Also the I cannot give command from the Bluetooth Headset, but only from the phone mic!!. I'm not willing to move to imate KJAM or Windows Mobile 5, it there a possible way now to let the voice goes in the bluetooth or this issue will never happen :(

Once more, is there any one who reached something regarding trasnfering the audio stream to BT headset from i-mate JAM (HTC Magician). I read in some forums that updating ROM will do it. Is that true?
