Hello folks: sad day...
My PDA2k's screen started to not respond to touch all of a sudden. I tried a soft reset, and then a hard reset. This does not fix it. Of course, now I am stuck at the Windows Mobile start screen (the one that says "tap your screen to set up your Pocket PC"), and of course I cannot make it any further than that.
Any help you can think of? I am trying to get a hold of imate tech support, but the prospect of having to send it away for repair is really frightening.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Pockets of air under the screen protector and/or mis alignment of the screen protector can sometimes cause a touch screen to stop responding.
So if u have one applied, try taking it off to see if that fixes the problem.

Thanks for your tips. My touch screen went dead on my BA over christmas. I was about to junk it until I peeled off the protector skin as suggested. Now it is working. Thanks mate

I got this problem yesteday, so i desided to try disassemble, my blue angel to check how deficult it would be to change the touch panel before i cheked the price on these panels. It showed to be a little hard to take it of, so i just assembled the "angel" agian, and miracules the touch now works fine, and I only adjusted the cable a little, but maybe this made the connection better. But on the hole I'm glad that I put it together agian before I bought a new panel.
Unfortunately I don't know exactly what did the trick. But it may be worthwhile to disassemble and try to make the cables sit a little better, and then just wish for the best outcome, of course if you are not sure how to disassemble divices like these do not do it, as it can make more damage to your blue angel, so even a professional technican can't save it.

i had this problem but if you already back up your system in a sgt file on your pc then you can connect your BA with activesync and restore your system i don't know if you have backup file
