BT Name

Well this is kinda of a dumb question but i find it .... well necessary to do :)

Is there a way to change on the magician the device name for BT ? other than having the Owner name stay as the BT name ?

dude... just change the Owner name from the today menu, to whatever name you wish..

There's actually a registry fix, works fine.

Check it out.

[HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Settings]

"LocalName"="WhateverYouWant"

Try playing with it, see if it works 4 u.

maybe i didn't understand the question but if changing the name of the device while other people search for you throw BT is what you want:

Start -> Setings -> System -> About -> Device ID
