the ROM BUILD 14326 - its not a translated version .. :)

It is the FRENCH version of MAgneto just like found in Gora's Device but since the Memory is now revealed we manage to get the FULL 120.35 MB for Program Memory(same as in 1.60a)

and since it is older than the English version 1.60a and 1.50i .. it also contains some bugs as it has in other version ..

it doesnt contain MSN Messenger but you can download it in this site

(anyway Agile Messenger is much better)

Hi Conneri, I think that this ROM is only a translation in French of those that we have already installed in our Qtek. I don't believe there is technical differences. Ciao.

i upgrade my XDAII, and i see this differences :
- i have an icon Power (very strange because it seems a tool from a previous rom (2 pages :Main and advanced), I have also an icon Alimentation (3 pages : Battery, Wireless and advanced) (same aim)
- a program Columbo seems to be a debug tool for dev
- a program Contacts SIM, it seems to read the sim but my mine is empty and I don't know how copy from phone to sim :oops:
- the speaker seems to be more strong
- the dictionary for word completion is in french :D
- there are 2 folders "My picture" in my documents, one in english and the other in french

The programs below are in english :cry: :

Si vous voulez changer les caractéristiques du fichier , suivant les instructions ci-dessous.
Sinon , rendez-vous directement a l'etape 5.

1. Extraire la version décodée du fichier nbf
en entrant les commandes suivantes dans une invite MS-DOS:

xda2nbftool -x NK.nbf NK.nba 0x20040304
xda2nbftool -x Radio_.nbf Radio_.nba 0x20040306


2. Modifier l'ID operateur et l'ID langage selon vos souhaits
en entrant les commandes suivantes dans une invite MS-DOS:
(remplacer <operateur> par la valeur désirée(orange , qtek ...))
(remplacer <langue> par la valeur désirée(FRA , WWE ...))

3. Mettre les valeurs crc à jour dans chaque fichier
en entrant les commandes suivantes dans une invite MS-DOS:

4. Réencoder les fichiers au format nbf
en entrant les commandes suivantes dans une invite MS-DOS:

xda2nbftool -x NK.nba NK.nbf 0x20040304
xda2nbftool -x Radio_.nba Radio_.nbf 0x20040306


5. Mettre votre appareil en mode bootloader
presser et maintenir enfoncé les bouton suivant:

Pad de direction + Bouton On/Off + Bouton Reset (stylet)

Apres quelques secondes relacher le bouton reset , et relacher ensuite les autres.
L'écran affichera "Serial" en haut.


6. Placer votre appareil sur son socle, (assurez vous que le socle soit connecté a
un port usb directement sur la carte mere (pas de hub) et qu'il est alimenté avec
le chargeur de votre appareil
Il est aussi recommandé de désactiver les eventuels ecran de veille de votre pc.

L'ecran de votre appareil affichera "USB" en lieu et place de "Serial".


7. Lancer HimaUpgradeUt.exe

8. Patienter (un bon moment ... (un ptit café , ca aide :)) jusqu'a l'ecran de fin sur votre pc.
L'appareil indiquera toujours 'Upgrading radio stack, please wait',
mais si le pc dit que c'est fini , c'est fini :)

9. Retirez l'appareil de son socle.

10. Vous devez effectuer un hardreset.
Appuyer et maintenir le bouton On/Off , le bouton Camera , le Bouton Enregistrement
et le Bouton Reset (stylet) pendant quelques secondes.
Vous entrerez dans le "Boot Menu".

Selectionner les options comme suit:
(pour selectionner Bouton enregistrement, changer les valeurs avec le Bouton Camera)

Enable KITL -> NO
Clean Registry Hive -> YES
Format Storage -> YES

Puis appuyer sur le Pad de direction.

5. Start your device in bootloader mode by pressing and holding down:

DPad + PowerButton + ResetButton

After a second release ResetButton, then release the rest of them.
Your screen will show word "Serial" at the top.
You are in bootloader mode now.

6. Place your device in the cradle, ensuring that the cradle
is plugged directly into a USB port on your PC and not to a hub
and that the power supply is connected to the cradle.
It is also a good idea to disable any screensavers on your desktop PC.

Once your device is cradled, the text on the screen will change to "USB".


7. Run HimaUpgradeUt.exe

8. Sit back and wait for the Congratulations screen to be displayed
on your PC. Your device will still be displaying 'Upgrading radio stack, please wait',
but as long as the PC says it is done, then its all OK.

9. Detach your device from the cradle.

10. Now you have to hardreset your device.
Press ResetButton and hold down CameraButton + RecordButton.
Hold them pressed until the "Boot Options" menu appears on the screen.

Select the options as follows:
(for selecting use RecordButton, change values with CameraButton)

Enable KITL -> NO
Clean Registry Hive -> YES
Format Storage -> YES

When done, press DPad and wait until OS starts.
