XDA IIi and TomTom5

I've got TT5 working with Fortuna ClipOn, but have the following problems during a journey when a route is planned:

1. After about 2-3 minutes, TT5 exits, sometimes more frequent (45 sec)
2. If I try and Zoom in/out of map, TT5 locks up for 5 secs, then exits.

I have tried the same SDCARD and TT5 on the iPAQ 3970, and it works perfectly, so it's definately a XDA IIi problem !!! :x

When I first had TT5 with my Fortuna ClipOn it also used to exit but not as frequently as yours - probably around once every 30 minutes > 1 hour.

Without making any changes it now seems to work perfectly, I did a 5 hour journey last week with no issues at all.

Sorry this isn't any help to you but it seems very hit and miss with the XDAIIi and TT5 :(

I've never had any issues with zooming and have everything installed on a 1GB SanDisk Ultra II card.

When it drops out is your Bluetooth connection still active between the XDA and the Fortuna?

The BT Connection closes at the same time as the App closes. I can them go straight back in. The longest I have had the app working was around 20 minutes

I wonder if it's worth just connecting to the ClipOn and leaving it without TomTom running to see if it drops out?

I can't see why losing the BT connection would bring TT down but when mine was playing up it was doing exactly the same, BT died along with TT.
