ROM Upgrade Simlock?

I currently have an Unlocked SX66 distributed by Cingular. I am just wondering if ROM upgrades, be it linked from this website made by people or from the manufacturer websites, have the capability of re-simlocking the phone. I am reluctant to upgrade my ROM at this time in fear of having to reunlock the sim. Thanks

I too have an unlocked Blue Angel and was cautious about upgraded the ROM and relocking it to a network. After posting on this site, I was assured that once it is unlocked it remains unlocked. I upgraded and didn't have any problems..... Hope this helps and provides you with some confidence about upgrading.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong?
