CHARGING XDA 1

I have an XDA 1. It does not charge when I put it in the cradle which is connected to the USB.

However, I know someone with an XDA 2, which does charge in it's USB connected cradle.

Could it be the settings on my XDA as to why I have to plug it into the electric each time?

xda1 dont defaulty support charging over usb
but can mod the cradle so it does though

otherwise you need to plug the power cable into the cradle too
