Restoring a backup after updating ROM.

Has anybody got the solution to restoring your backup after upgrading the ROM. I just upgraded the ROM to the i-mate (much more stable), but cant restore the backup I made before the upgrade because the device is now an i-mate device, not an 02 device.
Im sure its simple, im jusy not techie.

the way i did it was ...

Used a tool to open the backup file, then copy all files to the phone.
Ive attached the program below :)
