Orange M500 Rom [Archive] - xda-developers

Hi been browsing the site for ages now, and thought that i'd register and post my first question.

I have a s100 with an orange sim card, and was wondering if anyone has a Orange M500 rom, and if so is it worth upgrading to get all the orange stuff??

Just went from original orange rom (SPV M500) to the 1.12 Qtek rom and i don't have the feeling i'm missing anything.
To be honest i didn't even bother to backup the original rom, not worth the disk space.

But does the M500 rom not include BT voice dialling?

I have an Orange M500 and upgraded to a Qtek 1.12 ROM I forgot to backup my original M500 rom! is it possible for someone to upload to the xda-ftp!

Could someone detail what is in the Orange ROM that that isn't in the (eg) i-Mate ROM.
Would I be right in assuming that the Orange ROM takes up more space than the i-Mate ?

Thats the details from my M500 rom.

I am actualy suprised that it is not branded "orange" to the eyeballs.

If you want the rom uploaded, post a link to the tool and i will upload it tonight.

I cant find out how to send a file to another device using bluetooth, anyone have any sugestions?

if the M500 is the same as my c500 then there is no native send via bluetooth support. On my c500 i used Smart explorer which has the option to send via bluetooth. Don't think there is a ppc version available. Maybe try resco. I was getting to grips with my m500, until i combined it with a pint of water and now its a dead machine, waiting for tests from the mobileshop!

okay, i found out how to do it....and its bizzar!

you beam it, like IR.

its odd, i phoned up orange and they didnt have a clue, if you turn off beam in connections it wont allow you to send or recive files.

does anyone have a download for orange m500 ?

im using an xda IIi and am having major hassle trying to access orange with settings they give me over phone.

a simple download would be good
