stripes on screen with WM2005

Dear,
From time to time, when my screen is turned off, there are some thin stripes crossing over my screen. This only happens with WM 2005 (whatever version I have tried, the latest'd be 1.60a). Anyone knows the solution to this. I think I once came across a thread mentioning about this, but I cannot find it anymore.

WM2005 as an option where you push the power button twice in succession, it turns the entire display module on your device "dead", blocks out complete power to the device....this is when, the screen gets stripes...

Push the power btn, just once, you dont see it...
The main advantage, consumes lesser power....
