Hi all is there anyway to remove all the branding from the t-mobile mda comapct? like the phone screen and boot logo. Thanks.

Its not possible to remove branding, BUT you can make a hard reset of the device. After you have adjusted the stylus, you must immediately soft reset the device. The branding .cab files wont be installed.

Browse around the forums, there are a lot of postings about that.

may sound stupid but get a sugar cube and rub over the branding on the case-removed my vodafone decals well!

i used the soft reset after setting up the pointer worked a treat. alsoto remove the t-mobile paint i used my fingernail and white spirit worked nice no scars. only problem is i unlocked it fine. But wont operate on the o2 network...any ideas????

if you want to remove the t-mobile branding completely do the bigstorage hack or search the forums for how to change splash screens, you may need to unlock your mda with the unlock tool on the front page of this site to get it working on o2

edit: sorry i misread you have already tried unlocking, maybe try a friends o2 sim in case yours is faulty, i use my o2 sim in a mda compact so it can work, just not sure why yours doesn't sorry
