Hi People,

I have an XDA IIi and a Road Angel 2 and more importantly the cable that links and powers them both.

Now I need the software.
Could you please comment as to your wise and learned recommendations please?

Tomtom 3
Tomtom 5
Medion Navigator
Others...

Don't really know about the others but I have used both Tomtom 3 and 5. No problems with either of them really, occasionally they get confused but on the whole excellent programs. You can also download POIs from all over the internet, speed cameras, shell optimax petrol stations, tescos.......

The only other I've used in the past is the one the Alpine stereo's use.......never again.

OK cheers, what is the difference between Tomtom 3 & 5... surely 5 is the latest and thus the preferred?

TT5 is more up to date and has better features. If you do a search on tomtom in this forum you will notice a lot of people have/are having problems with it crashing etc. so beware of this before buying.

Excellent bit of kit tho' :P
