I can receive SMS messages, but can not send...

I am in Canada and I use Roger's Wireless network for my voiceplan. I have not set up a data plan but I think that is irrelevant here. I can receive text messages no problem, but I can not send them. I have not changed the SMS service center number (it's the same as Rogers set up) I was told by customer service that I need to configure the MDA II to Roger's network settings by messing with the WAP settings and IP addresses etc. I have all the config info, but I dont know where to go on the MDA II to make these changes for my area. Anyone know how to re-program the MDA II? I think its originally from Europe because one of the programs is in German still. I bought it from a guy in Calgary who said the phone works 100%. In short, the MDA II must have been reprogrammed several times to suit the different regions, No? I guess I should contact him...
