stuck in 02 splash screen

got stuck on o2 splash screen. don't know what happend and what to do.

Do a hard reset -> press the power button and the reset button at the same time

Reflash the rom with one from your original operator. If you're using an o2 xda please download a rom from www.my-xda.com and follow the on screen instructions.

well my friend i think somehow ur OS is lost and all u still have is the extended rom OS image,that's why u still see the splash screen...
i assume that ur device is a himalaya(though u did'nt mention any informations :wink: ),but if really is,then do the following:
1-log in to this forum as user:xda pass:xda
2-go to ftp server from the wiki page(up left ur screen)
3-go to himalaya folder and download any rom u would like 2 have(it can appear in several way,exe file or several files zipped in a .zip)
4-if it's and exe file and u have winrar,then extract the content in a folder,u will find 6 files(maybe less,rarely 1 file more-xda2nbftool.exe-),now forget about this file for the moment
u will need 2 file to fix ur phone:nk.nbf & HimauUpgradeUt.exe(i idvice u to dowload an O2 rom upgrade to prevent country id error wich can be fixed if necessary :) )
now that u have the tools,do the following:
1-press power button+navigation pad(the round one between the green and the red buttons)+reset button SIMULTANESLY,u will enter bootloader mode(blank screen with serial on the upper side of the screen,number like 1.06 on the buttom)
2-put the cradle in usb port DIRECTLY IN UR COMPUTER NOT THROUGH USB HUB
3-put ur phone in the cradle while it's in bootloader mode,u will see that the serial word in the upper screen have changed into USB
4-run HimaUpgradeUt.exe and follow the on screen instructions,u will see a status bar,wait untill it finishes,hard reset ur phone,and here we go :D
i forgot to mension that u should put those 2 files(HimaUpgradeUt.exe & nk.nbf),in a separate folder,close any open task on ur desktop/laptop,and PUT UR CHARGER IN THE CRADLE for the battery don't run out...

replace the HimaUpgradeUt.exe in ur upgrade folder with the attached file,u will bypass country ID error...

Dear Guys,

My XDAIIs is in bootloader mode (it shows serial--> at top and V 2.07--> at bottom, and doesnt turn to usb when i plug into my usb port). Does anyone know how to fix it? Please help....

i'm sorry.

i was referring to the stuck in splash screen.

after the hard reset, autorun was initiating installations for the contents of the extrom. i installed each and every item and at the end of it, it required resetting. i just clicked on yes to reset, then when it did, it just stops at the splash screen. i tried waiting for an hour or so, maybe it would just come, but still to no avail. i tried re-installing everything, but still the same thing. but when i tried NOT TO INCLUDE the ARABIZER, everything worked just fine.

now, i'll just pray for two things, 1-that you can help me solve this problem, and 2-that the light at the end of the tunnel is not a train.

now if u still have a 2003 OS on ur device,wich i doubt it,(i've read ur post in the thread How can I increase Storage memory in WM 2005),then ur problem can be solved inchallah :wink:
*if ur device is i-mate,do the following:
1-remove arabizer from Ext ROM,so ur device can enter OS
2-install arabizer cabs after being in the OS

download arabizer cabs from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/download.php?id=6292

*if ur device is not an i-mate,then u have to wait untill my no brand arabizer succeeds.... :wink:

Hi ordinary,ur welcome anytime bro :D
now concerning ur xdaII,i think ur extended ROM is not compatible with ur OS version,that's why ur device cannot enter windows...
here what u have to do:

1-go to ftp ,download ER2003Edit,it's a ROM editor

2-open any Himalaya ext ROM(ms_.nbf) with the software mentioned above

3-go to files tab in ER2003Edit,and remove all the files(empty the extended ROM)

4-save the ms_.nbf file

5-now go to ftp again,and download 1.72.00WWE ROM version from Himalaya folder

6-put no_id.exe i gave u before with the ms_.nbf in one folder then flash ur device by running the .exe file(u will have an empty ext ROM device)

7-after the flash of ext ROM is complete,hard reset ur device,if u still cannot enter windows,then replace ms_.nbf file with the NK.nbf file of the 1.72 OS version in the folder u made on ur desktop/laptop,then flash..

now concerning ur XDAIIs,do the same but with it's specific ROM files..

I already followed your instructions, but it still remains the same. Do you know why? Still stuck on O2 splash screen. I use the ver1.66 WWE. I did erase all the files in extended ROM. and replace the NK files from ver 1.72WWE. In the end, it remains the same without change.

my last advice will be to get a shipped ROM containing the 3 files(ms_.nbf,NK.nbf,radio_.nbf),just replace HimaUpgradeUt.exe with the no id one,and reflash.....if it still doesn't work,then am sorry bro...i tried my best :( .Try posting a new thread,describe in it everything,so maybe u can solve ur problem....good luck :D

after reading ur PM,i have to tell u many things:

1-magneto doesn't have extended ROM like in 2003,u don't have ms_.nbf,so stop trying to install u friend's ms_.nbf into ur magneto coz it's not gonna work.

2-if u wan't the arabizer on magneto....so i'm sorry to tell u that there's still no official version that runs on magneto.Now if u have read the thread i've gave u,Rabia was trying hard to install arabic on magneto,and he did it(as u can notice from the pictures in his thread).The problem is that i followed his instructions,but couldn't get what he reached.All i could get is to let my magneto MDA2 read arabic,but without having the keyboard in arabic :wink: (if ur interested,try Rabia procedures,and if it doesn't work,i will help u :D )

so my friend stop trying installing ext ROM on ur magneto,and if Rabia method didn't satisfie u,then u have to downgrade to 2003 or 2003 se,and install an arabic ext ROM(only here it can work).

if u still wan't magneto on ur device,and u miss the automatic installation of the softwares that exists in 2003 & 2003 se once u hard reset ur device(the extended rom),then u can solve this problem,there is the 2577 method....i won't explain it unless U HAVE READ IT AND SOMETHING WASN'T CLEAR(this was explained 1000 times before,just go where i've guided u,and plz READ :wink: ) http://www.buzzdev.net

now that you explained, i now have a better understanding of what 2k5 is. i've used the 2577 procedure. i tried opening an extendedrom using the rom editor and simply dragging the files i need and dropping it to the zip file of 2577.

now, the next thing i'll try to learn is how to produce an ms_.nb file. i'm planning to try the SD back-up procedure. since i don't have a card reader........then i'll just try to find another way.

NOW, i find light at the end of my tunnel.......and thank GOD it's not a train......it's RAGO holding a flashlight...... thanks for your guidance my friend....

I too did face the same problem.What I think is this is due to the fault in the Back up battery and not in the ROM.I didm try to flash by putting it in B/L mode, but flash failed in the first step itself...

One can also try removing moisture by blower, and then let xda2 cool down to room temperature, then put the battery.

Also, pls check if the RED LED glows when one connects the charger to the XDA2 with no battery inserted.If yes, then yr piece is not dead...
