HELP! can't boot after attempting to unlock

I have an XDA II that will not boot, simply shows "Serial, v 1.06". Went through various processes to get this far, and strangely I still get country ID errors when i try to load another version of windows mobile on it. can anyone help?

I had a simular problem with my IIi untill i removed the sim card and tried to updat without it installed, it worked for me, hope this might help.

I unfortunately did it in the first place without a SIM card installed... anyone else have any ideas?
