Hi all,

running an unlocked XDAIIi which seems to have an intermittent problem with the phone. I cant hear the other party but they can hear me.

I have seen a patch for a similar problem for the Blue Angel so my question is will it work for the XDAIIi?

Any info gratefully received.

Best Regards

Darren

Do a backup of your device and try it!
Revert to the backup if it f...s it up

and please have a look at this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=26766

When you recive a call try removing the SD card before you answer the call, leave it out while you talk :P

I think this problem is sorted once you update the ROM (Including the Radio ROM)

Danny, how does having an SD card in the SDIO slot cause such a problem?

I'm not really sure but somehow the radio ROM interfears with the SD interface, and casues it to hang on a regular basis, especilly with old ROM versions. BOTH GPRS and Voice radio seem to effect it, which is why TomTom crashes alot for XDA2i users.

Version 1.03.00 Radio, doesnt seem to cause as many problems though, but ... i have got used to ejecting my SD card as soon as a call comes in.

I have experienced exactly the same problem too. I don't know why but if I activated by bluetooth headset I could hear other's voice but if I didn't I couldn't hear anything. Anyway, it's solved after a hard reset.
