storage question

when you buy a "BRAND NEW" XDAiis is the storage empty(not the storage card)? im doing a hard reset(as in fresh from the factory feel) and need to know if there are certain files in storage that the device needs to function properly. also, what are those "ignore my docs" files?can i delete them?

As far as I know, the storage can be safely emptied. I always see WDRM folders which are created by WMP 10 Mobile for digital licenses. As for ignore_my_docs, I don't know exactly what this is, but they don't appear from within file explorer. I see them through a 3rd party software such as Resco File Explorer.
