will 1.40 lock my phone ?

I just received a Xda2s ,from ebay and it was unlock. it works fine

now i would like to upgrade to 1.40 rom, do you think it will still be unlock

If the "unlocked" you are referring to is the network lock then updating to a new CE rom will have no effect on this as the lock is in a separate area of NV memory.
