I just got the tomtom 5 software off ebay for about 10 quid. The guy sent me a cd with all the software on it. Told me to copy all the files to the SD card and install 4 programs from the installation directory.
Did everything as he told me.
The software was successfully installed apparently, the TOMTOM logo appears on the home screen.
Upon clicking it, it opens the setup for tomtom5 choosing preffered appearance, and voice choices.
After that, it just goes to a blank screen with no maps. I cannot access the maps on the SD card. They are there. It has a button called DOWNLOAD A MAP and takes me through GPRS to the tomtom site asking me for a user name and password.
I dont have one since I got it off ebay. SO i'm kinda stuck. Any ideas why it may not be working? Anything I have to do to pull up the maps?
Anyone wants to give it a try, I have it uploaded on ftp and the zip file with all the files are accessible via http. let me know.
