KSE True Fax 2.0 for Imate JAM

when i get in receive and try to send a fax from my pc or some fax device my imate-jam answers the fax call but repoerted and error and hang.
the error is as follows: :shock:

Modem has reported an error. :evil:
Querying modem...
Initializing modem with "AT E0 V1 Q0 M0 S7=60 S10=10 +CLIP=0; +CRC=0; +CMEE=0; +COLP=0; +CBST=7,0,0"...
Waiting for incoming call...

and then nothing happens.
what may be the problem. is there anyone with the similar problem. :?:

the program does not work with the Magician and other PPC that have integrated modems

kse truefax does work on the magician atleast the one in the latest rom 1.12 does...try sending a fax from your Jam. You need to have a seperate data/fax line activated by your telco to be able to recieve faxes on your Jam

truefax version is 2.09, which i think is actually what it has always been on every Jam rom ive had.

i have the latest version. v.2.09.
i can send faxes thru jam. but can not receive.
i think the problem is ,as speedn said, i don't have my data/fax line activated. :cry:

the latest version is 3.01 - does that definitely not work?

please could someone put the one which comes with the latest imate rom up onto the ftp as a seperate cab if they possibly can?

Maybe you should pay a little more attention to the truefax site. There are two versions, one being Truefax 2004 3.01 and that DOES NOT work on the magican as it was made for non-phone-edition devices and the second being Truefax 2.09 and that was made for phone-edition-devices and that one works perfectly with the magician.

Incoming faxes can only be received if the device is in flight mode because the wireless interferes with the fax. That is mentioned in the manual too. Sending a fax disables the wireless and sends the fax and afterwards you have to enable wireless again.

I'm not really sure how that works for you (I have a Qtek S110 and that came without Truefax) but you can dl the 2.09 on sites like Handango, PocketGear etc and if Truefax came with your device you should have reg information too. Otherwise you need to contact the support for you device, iMate or whatever that is so they can support you with a valid version.

Should also point out that ORANGE UK will give you a DATA line free and a ANSWERFAX number free as well.

I believe its only the DATA line which is strictly needed for truefax but ...

might be possible that we could forward ANSWERFAX faxes to your magician.

I can confirm that this file "Default_KSE_Fax_v2.09_unremovable.CAB" from http://www.dmmh.nl/xda/ website works on the O2 XDA Mini. It sends OK but I don't have the dedicated fax number to receive faxes.
